Final Exam: Preview

Summarize what you watched and read about - let's say 2-3 paragraphs of 3-4 sentences
You need a camera, a mac, and a cable to connect your camera to make an imovie. Open your imovie application and create a new project and select your video format. The imovie application has the view screen, clip spin, and the time line. The view screen is used to play clips, the clip spin is used to store clips and the time line is used to set clips up to make your movie. 

Drag and drop footage to your timeline to add to your video. Connect camera and hit play and import to capture video. Press play to play your movie and you can also cut clips to make them shorter buy pulling the edges of the clips. You can also delete clips and copy clips by clicking delete or going to file copy and paste.

You can also add titles and captions by clicking on the editing button and clicking titles. you can change color font and size. You can choose Video FX to add effects to your video such as electricity and pixie dust. Save your project and export to quick time video. 

2.) Tell me one thing that you already knew about iMovie that the website explained

How to drag and drop footage to clip together your movie. 

3.) Tell me one thing that you learned new today that you didn’t know before.

You can add video effects in imovie. I don't really think it applies to this project but it's a great tool. 

4.) What are you concerned about with this final project?

Coming up with a creative story idea. I don't want to do  story that everybody else does. 

5.) What are you confident you can complete early and have ready to use?

The imovie portion of the project because I have used it before.

You an play all the footage you edit in the section in the right corner called the viewer, and make adjustments by clicking the adjust button. To create a movie, select the + sign and click movie and choose a theme for your movie. You will then have to name your file and choose the event type. 

In the event library, you can select a portion of a clip and drag it into the project timeline. If you want, you can select the whole clip and drag it also. To split a clip into two, move the orange line the follows your cursor to where you want to split it and click on it. Select modify menue and split clip. 




2.) Tell me one thing that you already knew about iMovie that the website explained

I already knew how to split clips. 

3.) Tell me one thing that you learned new today that you didn’t know before.

I didn't know the names of all the screens and modes in imovie. 

.) If I asked you today, what do you think you will do for your video?
Either a day at the beach or a day going to zilker and barton springs. Something outdoors with nature and a lot of light.
