What is a Nut Graf?
A Nut Graf is a paragraph in a story usually in the middle of the story that contains the "essence" or the reason for the story. It is often an important aspect of the story since it tells the reader the importance of the story. The nut graf often shows the intention of the article and tells the reader what the story is going to be about. It similar to a thesis statement in an essay where the writer is stating why and trying to lead the reader into the next paragraph.
